The L6565 is a current-mode primary controller IC, specifically designed to build offline Quasi-resonant ZVS (Zero Voltage Switching at switch turn-on) fly-back converters. It features quasi-resonant operation, line voltage feedforward, pulse-by-pulse and hiccup-mode overcurrent protection, ultra-low start-up and quiescent current, disable function, and 1% precision internal reference voltage.
The L6565 is a current-mode primary controller IC specifically designed to build offline Quasi-resonant Zero-Voltage-Switching (ZVS) flyback converters. It features quasi-resonant operation achieved through a transformer demagnetization sensing input that triggers the MOSFET's turn-on. The device includes line feedforward to deliver constant power versus mains change and frequency foldback for optimum standby efficiency. It also offers pulse-by-pulse and hiccup-mode overcurrent protection, ultra-low start-up current (< 70µA), and quiescent current (< 3.5mA). The IC is compliant with Blue Angel, Energy Star, and Energy Description 2000 standards.
