About this manual

The VNO6SP is a monolithic high-side smart power solid-state relay designed for driving resistive or inductive loads with one side grounded. Utilizing STMicroelectronics VIPower Technology, the device includes built-in thermal shut-down protection against over-temperature and short circuits, as well as under-voltage protection. It features a 5V logic-level compatible input and an open-drain diagnostic output that indicates open loads, output shorts to Vcc, and over-temperature conditions.

The device supports a maximum continuous output current of 9A at 85°C and includes fast demagnetization for inductive loads via a negative clamp voltage of -18V. It complies with ISO 7637/1 requirements for automotive high-side drivers and offers protection against load dump and reverse battery voltage. The package is PowerSO-10.
