This document describes the STMicroelectronics STEVAL-IPE010V2 energy meter demonstration kit motherboard, which is based on the STPMC1. It has various features and functions and can be used to design a Class 1 meter for 2 to 4-wire power line systems.
The STEVAL-IPE010V2 is an energy meter demonstration kit and motherboard designed as an evaluation platform for the STPMC1 and STPMS2L devices. It serves as a starting point to design Class 1 meters for 2 to 4-wire power line systems using delta or wye service configurations.
The board works in conjunction with up to five STEVAL-IPE014V1 daughterboards, each equipped with an STPMS2L device to sense voltage and current per phase. The motherboard interfaces via a card edge connector to receive sigma-delta streams from the daughterboards for further elaboration by the STPMC1.
The kit provides an evaluation platform for the STPMC1 and STPMS2L devices and can serve as a starting point to design a Class 1 meter for 2 to 4-wire power line systems.
The kit is rated for a nominal voltage of 230 V and a nominal CT current of 1 A with a maximum of 30 A.
The board operates within a temperature range of -40 to +85 degrees Celsius.
