About this manual

The STPO8CDC596 is a monolithic, medium-voltage, low current power 8-bit shift register designed for LED panel displays. It contains an 8-bit serial-in, parallel-out shift register that feeds an 8-bit D-type storage register, driving eight regulated current sources to provide 15-120mA constant current to LEDs.

The device features built-in error detection for open and short lines, shorts to ground, and shorts to the LED voltage supply. Users can adjust the output current through a single external resistor, and the device supports up to 16V output driving capability. It is available in DIP-16, SO-16, and TSSOP-16 packages.
