The ASL models C850 and C1250 are high-performance swimming pool filters with a maximum flow rating of 70 gallons per hour. Manufactured from Hayward’s exclusive PermaglassXL™ material, ASL is designed to provide years of trouble-free operation. Plumbing connections should use 1-1/4” or 1-1/2” I.D. flexible plastic pipe or hose joined with insert fittings and stainless steel clamps. Unions should be provided for easy servicing if rigid PVC is used. All plumbing connections on the ASL filter are 1-1/2” N.P.T. Plastic male-end adapters should be used when making connections, with three turns of Teflon tape or plastic pipe sealant applied to the male threads. Ball type valves are recommended. The pool suction plumbing should be connected between the skimmer, pool outlet, and the pump. The pool return (inlet) plumbing should also be connected. The filter is equipped with a drain valve or plug for complete filter draining, and a manual air vent valve is provided for bleeding air. Electrical connections should be made according to local codes. Refer to the pump instruction book for pump information.
