Series 240 Pneumatic Control Valve Type 3241-1 and Type 3241-7 Globe Valve Type 3241 are control valves for process engineering and industrial applications. They have a nominal size range of DN 15 to DN 300 and a nominal pressure range of PN 10 to PN 40. The valves can operate in temperatures ranging from -196 to 450 °C. The valve body is made of various materials including cast iron, spheroidal graphite iron, cast steel, cast stainless steel, cast cold-resisting steel, forged steel, and forged stainless steel. The valve plug can have either metal sealing or soft sealing. The valves can be equipped with various accessories such as positioners, solenoid valves, and other accessories. There are different versions available, including standard version and additional versions with features like welding ends, adjustable packing, flow divider or AC-1/AC-2 trim for noise reduction, perforated plug, and valve plug with pressure balancing.
This document provides technical data for the SAMSON Type 3241 series of pneumatic control valves, available as Globe Valve Type 3241-1 and Type 3241-7. The valves are designed for process engineering and industrial applications with nominal sizes from DN 15 to DN 300 and nominal pressures from PN 10 to PN 40.
| Nominal size | DN 15 to DN 300 |
|---|---|
| Nominal pressure | PN 10 to PN 40 |
| Temperature range | -196 to 450 °C |
| Sealing types | Metal sealing, Soft sealing, High-performance metal sealing |
| Characteristic curves | Equal percentage, Linear |
| Rangeability | 50:1 for DN 15 to 50 |
The valve has two fail-safe positions: Actuator stem extends (FA) where springs close the valve, and Actuator stem retracts (FE) where springs open the valve upon air failure.
The permissible temperature range is from -10 to 220 °C.
The valve is available in nominal sizes up to DN 300.
The actuator springs close the valve when the supply air fails.
