pH 500 & mV 600 Series Panel-mounted, Microprocessor-based pH and ORP Controllers Instruction Manual
This document provides instructions for the installation, setup, operation, calibration, and maintenance of the Hanna Instruments pH 500 and mV 600 Series. These are real-time microprocessor-based instruments designed to provide accurate measurements with flexible ON/OFF or proportional control capabilities.
The manual covers functional descriptions, mechanical dimensions, specifications for both series (including range, resolution, accuracy, and output options), installation procedures including power supply and electrode connections, setup modes requiring a password, control modes, idle modes, analog outputs, RS232 communication, calibration procedures, fault conditions, and electrode conditioning.
| Range (pH) | 0.00 to 14.00 pH |
|---|---|
| Range (mV/ORP) | +/-2000 mV |
| Temperature Range | -9.9 to 120.0 °C |
| Resolution (pH) | 0.01 pH |
| Accuracy (pH) | +/-0.02 pH @ 25°C/68°F |
| Power Supply | 115 +/- 10% VAC or 230 +/- 10% VAC, 50/60 Hz |
| Power Consumption | 15 VA |
For pH, automatic 1, 2, or 3-point calibration uses buffers at 4.01, 7.01, and 10.01 pH (25 °C). For ORP, it is a 2-point calibration at 0 and 350 mV or 1900 mV.
Press the SETUP key to enter setup mode. The LCD will display '0000' on the upper part and 'PAS' on the lower, requiring a password entry.
The setpoint relays have 1 or 2 contact outputs rated at 5A-250 Vac, 5A-30 Vdc (resistive load), and the alarm relay has 1 contact output with the same rating.
