About this manual

The F880 fieldbus power system is engineered to provide redundant power for eight FOUNDATION fieldbus™ H1 segments when used with Yokogawa ALF111 fieldbus cards. It consists of an unpopulated module carrier (F880-CA) and two F801 power modules operating in a redundant configuration, or a single module for simplex applications.

The system incorporates failure alarms, galvanic isolation, power conditioning, and segment termination within each F801 module. It features secure DIN-rail mounting via integrated fixings and includes LED indicators to show the status of each module and individual segments. An optional physical layer diagnostics module can be installed for additional diagnostic information.

Frequently asked questions

What is the alarm threshold for segment output?

The alarm triggers if the segment output voltage drops below 19V DC.

Is a separate alarm module required?

No, a separate alarm module is not required as the F801 modules have built-in normally closed relays.

What mounting method is used?

The system uses integrated fixings for 'Top hat' DIN rail, 35mm x 7.5mm or 35mm x 15mm to EN50022.
