This document is the user manual for the Phonic XP series power amplifiers. The manual describes the features, installation, front and rear panel descriptions, specifications, dimensions, and block diagrams of the product.
This manual covers the XP 600 through XP 5100 power amplifiers. It includes safety warnings, installation guidelines for rack mounting, detailed front and rear panel descriptions, and wiring information for balanced XLR, TRS and speaker connections.
Technical specifications such as continuous output power, THD, input sensitivity, noise level and cooling system details are listed, along with operation mode settings for stereo, parallel and bridge‑mono configurations.
| Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) – Stereo Mode | 0.03 % (20 Hz‑20 kHz) |
|---|---|
| Input Sensitivity (8 Ω) | 1 Vrms |
| Noise (unweighted, 20 Hz‑20 kHz) | 106 dB below rated output |
The Clip/Lim LED lights when the audio signal exceeds the amplifier’s power capability, causing the peak limiter to reduce gain and protect the speakers.
The Ground Lift switch helps eliminate hum by disconnecting the chassis ground when a grounding conflict occurs, but should normally be left in the grounding‑on position.
Two front‑mounted variable‑speed fans automatically maintain safe internal temperature and run continuously when the amplifier is powered on.
