This manual introduces the basic operations of the Greyline Portaflow PT400 portable ultrasonic flowmeter. The instrument is used to measure fluid flow velocity.
The guide covers the general description of the PT400, including its ultrasonic transit‑time measurement principle and supplied hardware. It explains how to install transducer sets, connect power and output cables, and configure the instrument via its keypad and menu system.
Additional sections detail operating procedures, calibration steps, maintenance and repair tasks, troubleshooting tips, and a full specification table. Appendices provide pipe‑size charts and environmental limits for various pipe materials and fluids.

The upstream transducer connects to the RED socket and the downstream transducer to the BLUE socket; cables can be connected while the instrument is on.
It offers a 4‑20 mA current output and a pulse output, both configurable via the 7‑pin connector on the top of the flowmeter.
The supplied charger plugs into the grey 2‑pin connector on the bottom of the unit.
