This document introduces the features and characteristics of ABUS 83 55 Heavy Duty Padlock, suitable for use with factory gates, out buildings, garages, etc. It has medium to high security. The lock is made of hardened steel, with an 11mm through hardened steel shackle. The ball bearing locking resists pulling attacks, and the 5 pin tumbler mechanism is made from all rust-free components. It has a hardened steel base plate to protect against drill attack. The lock is supplied with automatic locking and non-key retaining, and features a patented “Z” bar which allows the lock to be changed to dead locking and key retaining. It comes with 2 keys.
