About this manual

The AS5134 is a contact‑less magnetic rotary encoder that provides 360° angular position encoding with 8.5‑bit resolution (360 positions per revolution). It integrates a Hall‑sensor array, analog front‑end, digital signal processing and programmable zero‑position and sensitivity in a single SOC.

The device supports 1‑wire PWM, 2‑wire (DCLK, DIO) and 3‑wire (DCLK, DIO, CS) serial interfaces, low‑power mode with fast start‑up, and a wide magnetic field input range of 20‑80 mT. It is supplied in a 20‑pin SSOP package and is suited for rotary position sensing, human‑machine interfaces, AC/DC motor control and brushless DC motor commutation.
