This document is the user manual for the HDP HD-SDI/SDI to DVI-D and Audio Converter. It describes the features and characteristics of the product.
The HDP is a compact converter that transforms HD‑SDI/SDI video signals to DVI‑D for LCD or plasma monitors, automatically scaling 4:3 or 16:9 content and providing two RCA audio outputs and two SDI loop outputs. It is intended for general monitoring, client review, presentations, corporate displays, and kiosk applications.
The manual covers monitor compatibility, video scaling modes, vertical lock behavior, DIP‑switch configuration, I/O connections, installation steps, and detailed technical specifications such as supported input formats, output resolutions, power requirements, and physical dimensions.
| Inputs | SMPTE-259/292/296 SDI/HD‑SDI |
|---|---|
| Input Formats | 1080i, 1080p, 720p, 525i, 625i |
| Video Input | HD‑SDI/SDI, SMPTE‑259/292/296/274 |
| Outputs | DVI‑D (E‑DDC and E‑EDID compatible) |
| Audio Output | 2‑channel RCA‑style @ -10dBV nominal |
| Looping SDI Outputs | 2 |
| Maximum DVI Resolution | 1920 × 1200 @ 60 Hz |
| Power Supply | +5 to +18 V DC regulated, 5 W |
| Physical Size | 5.8" × 2.4" × 1" (131 × 61 × 25 mm) |
| Supported Native Resolution | 1920 × 1200 — WUXGA |
The HDP uses a regulated +5 V to +18 V DC power supply and consumes about 5 W.
Scaling is controlled by DIP switch 1; setting it to ON enables scaling and OFF disables it.
The HDP supports up to 1920 × 1200 at 60 Hz on DVI‑D.
