This is a user manual for MON08 MULTILINK.
The MON08 MULTILINK is an interface cable that enables debug and programming of 68HC08 microcontrollers via a standard PC parallel port. It supports 2 V, 3 V and 5 V target supplies, automatically detects bus frequency, and can provide a 5 V 4.9152 MHz oscillator signal to overdrive the target clock.
The cable includes a regulated 9 V DC center‑positive power supply, a 16‑pin ribbon cable, and a 16‑position header on the target side. LEDs indicate power and target status. The accompanying software configures port pins, manages target power, and provides security and monitor mode functions for in‑circuit debugging.
| Power supply requirement | Regulated 9 V DC center‑positive |
|---|---|
| Oscillator output | 5 V 4.9152 MHz clock signal |
| Target power options | 2 V, 3 V or 5 V @ 125 mA |
| Target connector | 16‑position 0.100‑inch pitch dual‑row header |
| Ribbon cable type | 16‑pin IDC with 0.100‑inch centerline |
| PC interface | 25‑pin female parallel port connector |
It requires a regulated 9 V DC center‑positive power supply.
Yes, it can supply 2 V, 3 V, or 5 V at up to 125 mA via Pin 15.
It outputs a 5 V 4.9152 MHz oscillator clock signal on Pin 13.
A 16‑position 0.100‑inch pitch dual‑row header is used.
