This document provides performance data for IQM and IQML new generation modulating actuators, including voltage, current, torque, etc. It also mentions that IQML actuators have a linear output shaft.
This document provides electrical performance data for IQM and IQML modulating actuator motors, including torque, current, efficiency and speed for a range of models (IQM10, IQM12, IQM20, IQM25, IQM35) at 50 Hz and 60 Hz supply voltages. It also outlines design criteria, protection features, and recommended power‑supply components such as fuses and starters.
Key sections cover motor design, torque‑switch protection, solid‑state starter operation, dynamic braking, cable sizing, fuse selection, and guidance on frequency converters and UPS systems. The data tables list actuator torque, locked‑rotor current, power factor, and efficiency for each motor model and speed point.
| Supply Voltage (60 Hz) | 460‑480 V |
|---|---|
| Supply Voltage (50 Hz) | 380‑415 V |
| Rated Voltage | 660 V |
| Rated Current (IQM10) | 10 A |
The motor uses torque‑switch protection, measuring actuator output torque against open and close torque settings to protect the motor and valve.
IQM actuators use a solid‑state starter built from five pairs of 1600 V thyristors, providing higher transient resistance and supporting dynamic braking.
High‑speed fuses are recommended; for a 10 A rating use Ferraz G330010 and for a 20 A rating use Ferraz K330013.
Frequency converters for variable‑speed drives are not recommended for IQM actuators.
