Scotch® 69 Glass Cloth Electrical Tape is a white glass tape with high-temperature characteristics.
Scotch® 69 Glass Cloth Electrical Tape is a white glass‑cloth tape with a high‑temperature thermosetting silicone adhesive. It is rated Class "H" (180 °C) and is intended for 600‑volt dry‑location use where high mechanical strength and temperature resistance are required. Typical applications include insulating furnace power leads, high‑temperature splices, and reinforcing insulation in heavy‑load electrical installations.
The tape’s typical physical properties include a thickness of 7.5 mils, tensile strength of 150 Ibs/in, and adhesion of 40 oz/in. Electrical properties feature a dielectric breakdown of 3500 V and insulation resistance of 250 MΩ. It has a three‑year shelf life when stored at 70 °F and 40‑50 % relative humidity, and is sold in 1/2 in. × 66 ft and 3/4 in. × 66 ft rolls.
