This document introduces a new type of optical element that can be used to perform high-precision measurements. The element consists of two perpendicular gratings, each made up of a series of parallel lines. When light passes through the gratings, it is split into two beams, which travel in opposite directions. The two beams recombine at the intersection of the gratings, forming an interference pattern. By measuring the shape of the interference pattern, it is possible to determine the direction of light propagation. The element can be used for various applications, such as measuring the distance, speed, and angle of objects.
