About this manual

The EPIXXXXXXAC5 series are thru‑hole power inductors optimized for National LM257X series switching converters. Low‑loss material enables operation at high‑frequency (e.g., 52 kHz) in buck, boost, or output filtering applications, and the parts are also suitable for high‑quality filter designs.

Two variants are offered: the standard part and a lead‑free version indicated by the “‑LF” suffix. Packages are available in vertical (V) and horizontal (H) mount styles, with dimensions given in inches/mm. The inductors feature SnPb hot‑tin dip finish, a peak solder rating of 225 °C (260 °C for wave solder), weigh 51 g each, and are supplied in tubes.
