TIEFENBACH M Series Latching Solenoid Technical Data

M series switch magnets are suitable for iKA series and iNFA series switch magnets. This series of magnets has a variety of structural forms and can realize switching distances from small to extremely large. The series magnet is transversely polarized, easy to install and the metal housing is made of corrosion-resistant red brass.

About this manual

The TIEFENBACH M series latching solenoids are designed for use with iKA and iNFA reed switches. They feature cross‑polarized permanent magnets to achieve reliable switching over a wide range of contact distances. The solenoids are offered in various housing types, including corrosion‑resistant red‑brass (Rotguss) and plastic housings, to suit different installation environments.

For optimal performance the solenoid must be mounted with non‑ferrous screws to avoid magnetic field distortion. The magnet should be oriented so that the area of maximum magnetic potential moves toward the reed contact during actuation. Different mounting options and housing variants allow flexible integration into control panels and machinery. This manual is written in German.
