PhoCheck 3000EX is a portable PID PPM VOC gas detector that can detect acetone, nonane, octane, pentane, benzene, formaldehyde, isobutylene, MEK, MPK, styrene, toluene and other organic gases.
The PhoCheck 3000EX is a handheld photo‑ionization detector designed for detecting volatile organic compounds (VOC) in a wide range of environments, including industrial, environmental monitoring, emergency response, and safety inspections. It offers detection ranges from 0.1 to 10,000 ppm (or mg/m³) and includes built‑in alarms for short‑term exposure (STEL) and time‑weighted average (TWA) limits.
This manual covers the device’s technical specifications, calibration procedures, battery operation, safety certifications, and a comprehensive parts list with accessories and optional accessories. It also provides a purchase guide for the different RC (rechargeable) and DC (battery) versions of the instrument.

It can detect VOC concentrations from 0.1 to 10,000 ppm (or 0.1 to 10,000 mg/m³).
With four AA alkaline batteries it runs for up to 16 hours, and with NiMH rechargeable batteries for about 14 hours.
The instrument is certified EEx ia llc T4, BASEEFA, and ATEX 100 (pending).
The T90 response time is approximately one second.
