This document is the GOS 3.0 GSH User Manual, which includes the steps to install and use gsh, introduces the features and syntax of gsh, and provides information on different installation methods for different versions.
The GSH (gosShell) provides a text‑based user interface for the GOS grid system. Two implementations are available: a Java version that runs on both Linux and Windows, and a C version that extends GNU bash and runs on Linux only. The manual describes how to install the gosclient package, configure the environment, and launch the shell.
Installation steps include extracting the appropriate gosclient package (gosclient.targz for Linux, gosclient.zip for Windows), setting required environment variables such as JAVA_HOME, and running the provided install.sh script. After installation, the gsh can be started from the ${GSH_HOME}/binary directory using ./grun.sh (Java) or ./grun.sh -c ./gsh (C). The guide also details login options, command syntax, and known limitations of each implementation. This manual is written in Chinese.
