The manual describes the 3D scanning panorama mode added by a firmware update for the Sony NEX‑3, NEX‑5 and NEX‑5C cameras. It details how the mode creates 3D images composed of JPEG and MPO files, the menu options for selecting image size and direction, and the limitations when viewing on non‑3D TVs.
It also provides step‑by‑step shooting tips, recommended lens usage, and instructions for connecting the camera to a 3D‑capable TV via an HDMI cable. Safety warnings for eye strain and child viewing are included, as well as troubleshooting notes for playback issues. This manual is written in Chinese.
| Image size (16:9) | 1920 x 1080 |
|---|---|
| Standard image size | 4912 x 1080 |
| Wide image size | 7152 x 1080 |
Connect the camera to a 3D‑capable TV with an HDMI cable and select the 3D Viewing mode; only 3D images will be displayed.
The 3D mode saves images as JPEG files and MPO (multi‑picture object) files.
Use an 18‑55 mm lens, sweep the camera about six seconds for a 180° sweep, keep the subject at a proper distance, and avoid fast motion or excessive shaking.
