This document introduces the MM74C914 Hex Schmitt Trigger, which is a monolithic CMOS hex Schmitt trigger with a special input protection scheme. It allows the input voltage levels to exceed VCC or ground by at least 10V (VCC-25V to GND + 25V), making it suitable for applications involving voltage level shifting or mismatched power supplies. It has low variation in positive and negative threshold voltages with respect to temperature (typ 0.0005V/°C at VCC = 10V) and guaranteed hysteresis (VT+ - VT- ≥ 0.2 VCC). Other features include: hysteresis: 0.45 VCC (typical), 0.2 VCC guaranteed; special input protection: extended input voltage range; wide supply voltage range: 3V to 15V; high noise immunity: 0.7 VCC (typical); low power TTL compatibility: fan out of 2 driving 74L.

This data brief introduces the STEVAL-ILL013V1 demonstration board, an 80 W offline dimmable LED driver with high power factor (PF) intended for 350 mA, 700 mA and 1 A LEDs. The converter is designed as a constant current source to achieve the best lighting performance from the LEDs, and can be used for lighting applications from low power, low voltage to high power, high voltage. This allows designers to cover a wide range of different LED systems using a single topology. Additionally, in lighting applications where the input active power is higher than 25 W and a high power factor is required, the board can provide high power factor.

STEVAL-IPE009V1 is a mono-phase/multi-tariff energy meter based on the ST72321BR9 and STPM14. It is cost-effective and flexible, meeting Class 1 accuracy for IB = 5 A and Imax = 80 A according to IEC 61036:1996 + A1: 2000. The meter operates at a voltage range of 220 V ± 20%. It continuously detects and displays no-load conditions, reverse direction, fraud, and case tamper conditions. The number of tariffs (1 to 4) and the maximum demand type (day, one month, or three months) can be configured. The meter accumulates data for the whole meter life, including total kWh consumption, average MD (maximum demand), total number of tariffs, tariff time slots, consumption under different tariff rates, and power failure date/time. It also stores data for the last 12 months, including consumption under tamper mode for each month, first/last case/fraud tamper date/time, total tamper time, and power failure accumulating time for each month. Additionally, it provides data for absolute maximum demand (absolute MD, date/time) according to the type of MD requested. The meter features an SW LCD driver for a 24 x 4 segment LCD glass with contrast control, an RTC with SPI for real date/time, and an EEPROM with SPI for storing 256 Kb of data. It can detect case tampering even in power-down mode and has an external switch for viewing all data stored in the EEPROM sequentially, even when AC power is not available. Battery backup is available to detect tampering and view all parameters stored in the EEPROM during power outages.

The MM54C90 and MM74C90 are 4-bit decade counters, and the MM54C93 and MM74C93 are 4-bit binary counters. They are complementary MOS (CMOS) integrated circuits constructed with N- and P-channel enhancement mode transistors. The 4-bit decade counter can reset to zero or preset to nine by applying appropriate logic level on the R01, R02, R91 and R92 inputs. Also, a separate flip-flop on the A-bit enables the user to operate it as a divide-by-2, 5 or 10 frequency counter. The 4-bit binary counter can be reset to zero by applying high logic level on inputs R01 and R02, and a separate flip-flop on the A-bit enables the user to operate it as a divide-by-2, -8 or -16 divider. Counting occurs on the negative going edge of the input pulse. All inputs are protected against static discharge damage.
