This document describes the features and characteristics of Vishay Roederstein's MKP 1841 series metallized polypropylene film capacitors. These capacitors are designed for high voltage, high current, and high pulse operations, and are suitable for deflection circuits, protection circuits, snubber circuits, and electronic ballast circuits in TV sets. They feature polypropylene film dielectric, vacuum deposited aluminum electrodes, and a flame retardant plastic case. The capacitors have extended double-sided metallized polyester film construction and tinned wire leads. They have a wide operating temperature range and are available in various capacitance values and rated voltages.
