This document introduces N-Channel TO-220 and D2PAK packaged semiconductor devices designed for high voltage, high speed switching applications in power supplies, converters, power motor controls, and bridge circuits. It features higher current rating, lower RDS(on), lower capacitances, lower total gate charge, and tighter VSD specifications. This file introduces the characteristics of the LM285/LM385 series micropower two-terminal bandgap voltage regulator diodes. This series products are packaged in a low-cost TO-226 plastic case and are available with an operating current range of 10μA to 20mA, featuring exceptionally low dynamic impedance, low noise and stable operation over time and temperature. Tight voltage tolerances are achieved by on-chip trimming. The large dynamic operating range enables these devices to be used in applications with widely varying supplies with excellent regulation. Extremely low operating current make these devices ideal for micropower circuitry like portable instrumentation, regulators and other analog circuitry where extended battery life is required.

The ON Semiconductor 74FST3400 is a 4-bit, 4-port bus exchange switch. The device is CMOS TTL compatible when operating between 4.0 and 5.5 Volts. The device exhibits extremely low RON and adds nearly zero propagation delay. The device adds no noise or ground bounce to the system.

MC14099B is an 8-bit addressable latch. Data is entered in serial form when the appropriate latch is addressed (via address pins A0, A1, A2) and write disable is in the low state. For the MC14099B the input is a unidirectional write only port. The data is presented in parallel at the output of the eight latches independently of the state of Write Disable, Write/Read or Chip Enable. A Master Reset capability is available on both parts.

The NCP1402 is a 200mA, PFM step-up micropower switching regulator from Semiconductor Components Industries. It features an extremely low startup voltage (0.8V), high efficiency (85%), low operating current (30μA), high output voltage accuracy (±2.5%), low converter ripple (typical 30mV), and requires only three external components.

The TLV431A/D series of low voltage precision adjustable shunt regulators are programmable over a wide voltage range of 1.24V to 16V. The TLV431A series features a guaranteed reference accuracy of ±1.0% at 25°C and ±2.0% over the entire industrial temperature range of −40°C to 85°C. For TLV431B series, the accuracy is even higher, it’s ±0.5% and ±1.0% respectively. These devices exhibit a sharp low current turn−on characteristic with a low dynamic impedance of 0.20 Ω over an operating current range of 100μA to 20mA. This combination of features makes this series an excellent replacement for zener diodes in numerous applications circuits that require a precise reference voltage. When combined with an optocoupler, the TLV431A/B can be used as an error amplifier for controlling the feedback loop in isolated low output voltage (3.0 V to 3.3 V) switching power supplies. These devices are available in economical TO−92−3 and micro size TSOP−5 and SOT−23−3 packages.

The MC14569B is a programmable divide-by-N dual 4-bit binary or BCD down counter constructed with MOS P-channel and N-channel enhancement mode devices (complementary MOS) in a monolithic structure.

The MC33071/72/74, MC34071/72/74 series are single-chip operational amplifiers using high-quality bipolar fabrication technology and innovative design concepts.

These devices are high speed hex buffers with 3-state outputs. They are organized as single 6-bit or 2-bit/4-bit, with inverting or non-inverting data (D) paths. The outputs are designed to drive 15 TTL Unit Loads or 60 Low Power Schottky loads when the Enable (E) is LOW. When the Output Enable (E) is HIGH, the outputs are forced to a high impedance “off” state. If the outputs of the 3-state devices are tied together, all but one device must be in the high impedance state to avoid high currents that would exceed the maximum ratings. Designers should ensure that Output Enable signals to 3-state devices whose outputs are tied together are designed so there is no overlap.
