The NCP1200 is a PWM current-mode controller for low-power universal off-line supplies. It is housed in an SOIC-8 or PDIP-8 package, representing a major leap toward ultra-compact switchmode power supplies. The circuit allows the implementation of a complete offline battery charger or a standby SMPS with few external components due to a novel concept. Furthermore, an integrated output short-circuit protection allows the designer to build an extremely low-cost AC-DC wall adapter associated with a simplified feedback scheme. The controller drives low gate-charge switching devices like an IGBT or a MOSFET, requiring very small operating power. Due to current-mode control, the NCP1200 simplifies the design of reliable and cheap offline converters with extremely low acoustic generation and inherent pulse-by-pulse control. When the current setpoint falls below a given value, e.g. the output power demand diminishes, the IC automatically enters the skip cycle mode and provides excellent efficiency at light loads. This occurs at low peak current, so no acoustic noise takes place. Finally, the IC is self-supplied from the DC rail, eliminating the need for an auxiliary winding. This feature ensures operation in the presence of low output voltage or shorts.

The LM2575 is a switch mode power supply IC introduced by Semiconductor Components Industries LLC (SCILLC) in 2005. The chip can achieve a 1.0A output current and the output voltage can be adjusted. The input voltage range is 4.5V-36V.

The MC78M00/MC78M00A Series positive voltage regulators are identical to the popular MC7800 Series devices, except that they are specified for only half the output current. Like the MC7800 devices, the MC78M00 three-terminal regulators are intended for local, on-card voltage regulation. Internal current limiting, thermal shutdown circuitry and safe-area compensation for the internal pass transistor combine to make these devices remarkably rugged under most operating conditions. Maximum output current, with adequate heatsinking is 500 mA.

MC10EP57, MC100EP57 3.3V / 5V ECL 4:1 Differential Multiplexer is a fully differential 4:1 multiplexer. By leaving the SEL1 line open (pulled LOW via the input pulldown resistors), the device can also be used as a differential 2:1 multiplexer with SEL0 input selecting between D0 and D1. The fully differential architecture of the EP57 makes it ideal for use in low skew applications such as clock distribution. SEL1 is the most significant select line. The binary number applied to the select inputs will select the same numbered data input (i.e., 00 selects D0). Multiple VBB outputs are provided. The VBB pin, an internally generated voltage supply, is available to this device only. For single−ended input conditions, the unused differential input is connected to VBB as a switching reference voltage. VBB may also rebias AC coupled inputs. When used, decouple VBB and VCC via a 0.01 μF capacitor and limit current sourcing or sinking to 0.5 mA. When not used, VBB should be left open. The 100 Series contains temperature compensation.

The MC34164 series is an undervoltage sensing circuit specifically designed for use as reset controllers in portable microprocessor-based systems where extended battery life is required. These devices offer the designer an economical solution for low voltage detection with a single external resistor. The MC34164 series features a bandgap reference, a comparator with precise thresholds and built-in hysteresis to prevent erratic reset operation, an open collector reset output capable of sinking in excess of 6.0 mA, and guaranteed operation down to 1.0 V input with extremely low standby current. The MC devices are packaged in 3-pin TO-226AA, micro size TSOP-5, 8-pin SOIC-8, and Micro8™ surface mount packages. The NCV device is packaged in SOIC-8. Applications include direct monitoring of the 3.0 V or 5.0 V MPU/logic power supply used in appliance, automotive, consumer, and industrial equipment.

The MC74LVXT4066 is a high-performance bilateral switch/multiplexer/demultiplexer that utilizes silicon-gate CMOS technology to achieve fast propagation delays, low ON resistances, and low OFF-channel leakage current. It controls analog and digital voltages that may vary across the full power-supply range (from VCC to GND). The LVXT4066 is identical in pinout to the metal-gate CMOS MC14066 and the high-speed CMOS HC4066A. Each device has four independent switches. The device has been designed so that the ON resistances (RON) are much more linear over input voltage than RON of metal-gate CMOS analog switches. The ON/OFF control inputs are compatible with standard LSTTL outputs. The input protection circuitry on this device allows overvoltage tolerance on the ON/OFF control inputs, allowing the device to be used as a logic-level translator from 3.0V CMOS logic to 5.0V CMOS Logic or from 1.8V CMOS logic to 3.0V CMOS Logic while operating at the higher-voltage power supply. The MC74LVXT4066 input structure provides protection when voltages up to 7V are applied, regardless of the supply voltage. This allows the MC74LVXT4066 to be used to interface 5V circuits to 3V circuits.

The MC78M00/MC78M00A series is a positive voltage regulator that is identical to the MC7800 series devices, except that it has half the output current. It is designed for local, on-card voltage regulation. It features internal current limiting, thermal shutdown circuitry, and safe-area compensation for the internal pass transistor, making it rugged under most operating conditions. The maximum output current is 500mA.

The NCP300 and NCP301 series are second generation ultra-low current voltage detectors. These devices are specifically designed for use as reset controllers in portable microprocessor based systems where extended battery life is paramount. Each series features a highly accurate undervoltage detector with hysteresis which prevents erratic system reset operation as the comparator threshold is crossed. The NCP300 series consists of complementary output devices that are available with either an active high or active low reset output. The NCP301 series has an open drain N-Channel output with either an active high or active low reset output. The NCP300 and NCP301 device series are available in the Thin TSOP-5 package with standard undervoltage thresholds. Additional thresholds that range from 0.9 V to 4.9 V in 100 mV steps can be manufactured.

LM339/D is a comparator designed for use in level detection, low-level sensing, and memory applications in consumer automotive and industrial electronic applications.

MC33340 and MC33342 are monolithic control ICs specifically designed for fast charge control of Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) and Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries. These devices use negative slope voltage detection as the primary method for fast charge termination. Accurate detection is ensured by momentarily interrupting the charge current for precise voltage sampling. An additional secondary termination method can be selected, either programmable time or temperature limit. Protective features include battery over and undervoltage detection, latched over temperature detection, and power supply input undervoltage lockout with hysteresis. The only difference between MC33340 and MC33342 is the fast charge holdoff time, with MC33340 having a typical holdoff time of 177 seconds and MC33342 having a typical holdoff time of 708 seconds.

MSB710-RT1 is a PNP general purpose amplifier produced by Semiconductor Components Industries, LLC. The maximum collector-emitter breakdown voltage is -50V, the maximum collector-base breakdown voltage is -60V, the maximum emitter-base breakdown voltage is -7.0V, the maximum collector current is -500mA, and the maximum peak collector current is -1.0A.

The NCV8504 is a family of precision micropower voltage regulators with an output current capability of 400mA. The family offers options for adjustable, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5.0V output voltages. The output voltage is accurate within ±2.0% and has a maximum dropout voltage of 0.6V at 400mA. It features low quiescent current of only 100µA with a 100µA load, making it ideal for battery-operated microprocessor equipment. The microprocessor control logic includes an active RESET circuit with a delay. The RESET function operates correctly even at an output voltage as low as 1.0V. The reset threshold voltage can be decreased by connecting an external resistor divider to the RADJ lead. The general use comparator (FLAG/Monitor) is referenced to a temperature stable voltage and provides 1mA of drive current at its open collector output. The regulator is protected against reverse battery, short circuit, and thermal overload conditions. It can withstand load dump transients, making it suitable for automotive environments. The device has also been optimized for EMC conditions.
