The WELL Building Standard is a building health assessment system developed by the International WELL Building Institute PBC (IWBI). Its goal is to integrate health, wellness and building design, operations and management to improve people’s quality of life. The standard includes 10 areas of 78 metrics to improve the overall health and wellness of buildings, including water, air, food, light, movement, rest, sound, materials and community. WELL Building Standard is implemented through the WELL Certification program, which is administered by IWBI and evaluated by third-party certified assessors.
