The MAX4711/MAX4712/MAX4713 are fault-protected, Rail-to-Rail®, low-voltage analog switches featuring low on-resistance and guaranteed on-resistance flatness over the specified signal range.

The MAX4649 is a low on-resistance, single-pole double-throw (SPDT) analog switch from Texas Instruments. Its on-resistance is a maximum of 45 ohms and flat (7 ohms maximum) over the specified signal range. The MAX4649 can handle Rail-to-Rail® analog signals and conducts analog or digital signals equally well in either direction. This switch operates from a single +9V to +36V supply, or from ±4.5V to ±20V dual supplies. The primary application areas are in the switching and routing of signals in telecommunications and test equipment. The MAX4649 features a switch transition time of 130ns maximum at +25°C, and a guaranteed break-before-make switching time of 5ns. Off-leakage current is only 2nA maximum at +25°C. The MAX4649 is available in a tiny 8-pin SOT23 package.

MAX4647/MAX4648 are dual-supply single-pole/single-throw (SPST) switches. On-resistance is 25Ω max and flat (2Ω max) over the specified signal range. Each switch can handle rail-to-rail analog signals. Off-leakage current is only 1nA max at +25°C. They conduct analog or digital signals equally well in either direction. The primary application areas are in the switching and routing of signals in telecommunications and test equipment. The MAX4647/MAX4648 are single SPST analog switches. The MAX4647 has one normally closed (NC) switch, and the MAX4648 has one normally open (NO) switch. These devices operate from a single +9V to +36V supply or from dual ±4.5V to ±20V supplies. The MAX4647/MAX4648 are available in tiny 6-pin SOT23 packages.

The MAX312F/MAX313F/MAX314F are quad single-pole/single-throw (SPST) fault-protected analog switches. They are pin compatible with the industry-standard nonprotected MAX312/MAX313/MAX314. These switches feature fault-protected inputs and Rail-to-Rail signal-handling capability. All analog signal terminals are protected from overvoltage faults up to ±36V with power on and up to ±40V with power off. During a fault condition, the COM_, NO_, or NC_ terminal becomes an open circuit and only microamperes of leakage current flow from the source. On-resistance is 10Ω (max) and is matched between switches to 0.5Ω (max) at +25°C. The MAX312F has four normally closed (NC) switches. The MAX313F has four normally open (NO) switches. The MAX314F has two NC and two NO switches. These CMOS switches operate with dual power supplies ranging from ±4.5V to ±20V or a single supply between +9V and +36V. All digital inputs have +0.8V and +2.4V logic thresholds, ensuring both TTL and CMOS logic compatibility when using ±15V or a single +12V supply. For supply voltages of ±5V, +5V, and +3V, refer to the MAX4711/MAX4712/MAX4713 data sheet. Applications include Communications Systems, Signal Routing, Test Equipment, Data Acquisition, Industrial and Process Control Systems, Avionics, Redundant/Backup Systems and ATE Hot Swap.

The MAX4508/MAX4509 are 8-to-1 and dual 4-to-1 fault-protected multiplexers that are pin compatible with the industry-standard DG508/DG509. The MAX4508/ MAX4509 operate with dual supplies of ±4.5V to ±20V or a single supply of +9V to +36V. These multiplexers feature fault-protected inputs, rail-to-rail signal handling capability, and overvoltage clamping at 150mV beyond the rails. Both parts offer ±40V overvoltage protection with supplies off and ±25V protection with supplies on. On-resistance is 400Ω max and is matched between channels to 15Ω max. All digital inputs have TTL logic thresholds, ensuring both TTL and CMOS logic compatibility when using a single +12V supply or dual ±15V supplies.

The MAX398/MAX399 precision, monolithic, CMOS analog multiplexers (muxes) offer low on-resistance (less than 100Ω), which is matched to within 6Ω between channels and remains flat over the specified analog signal range (11Ω max). They also offer low leakage over temperature (NO off-leakage current less than 2.5nA at +85°C) and fast switching speeds (transition time less than 250ns). The MAX398 is an 8-channel device, and the MAX399 is a dual 4-channel device. The MAX398/MAX399 are fabricated with Maxim’s low-voltage silicon-gate process. Design improvements yield extremely low charge injection (less than 5pC) and guarantee electrostatic discharge protection (ESD) greater than 2000V. These muxes operate with a single +3V to +15V supply or bipolar ±3V to ±8V supplies, while retaining CMOS-logic input compatibility and fast switching. CMOS inputs provide reduced input loading. The MAX398/MAX399 are pin compatible with the industry-standard DG408, DG409, DG508A, and DG509A.

The MAX4564 is a low-voltage, dual-supply, single-pole/double-throw (SPDT) analog switch designed to operate from dual ±1.8V to ±6V or single +1.8V to +12V supplies. The low on-resistance (RON = 40Ω at ±5V) and low power consumption (5µW) make this part ideal for audio, video, and battery-powered applications. This switch offers low leakage currents (1nA max) and fast switching speeds (tON = 60ns and tOFF = 40ns at ±5V, max). The MAX4564 is available in 8-pin SOT23 and µMAX packages.

MAX1076/MAX1078 are low-power, high-speed, serial-output, 10-bit, analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) that operate at up to 1.8Msps and have an internal reference

MAX4575/MAX4576/MAX4577 are low-voltage, high electrostatic discharge (ESD)-protected, dual single-pole/single-throw (SPST) analog switches. The normally closed (NO) and normally open (NC) pins are protected against ±15kV ESD without latchup or damage. Each switch can handle Rail-to-Rail® analog signals. Off-leakage current is 0.5nA at +25°C. These analog switches are suitable for low-distortion audio applications and are the preferred solution over mechanical relays in automated test equipment or applications where current switching is required. They have low power requirements (0.5µW), require less board space, and are more reliable than mechanical relays. Each device is controlled by TTL/CMOS input voltage levels and is bilateral. These switches feature guaranteed operation from a single supply of +2V to +12V, making them ideal for use in battery-powered applications. On-resistance is 70Ω (max), matched between switches to 0.5Ω (typ) and flat (2Ω typ) over the specified signal range. The MAX4575 has two NO switches, the MAX4576 has two NC switches, and the MAX4577 has one NO and one NC switch. These devices are available in 8-pin µMAX and SO packages.

The MAX4561/MAX4568/MAX4569 are low-voltage, ESD-protected analog switches. The normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) inputs are protected against ±15kV electrostatic discharge (ESD) without latchup or damage, and the COM input is protected against 2.5kV ESD. These switches operate from a single +1.8V to +12V supply. The 70Ω at 5V (120Ω at 3V) on-resistance is matched between channels to 2Ω max, and is flat (4Ω max) over the specified signal range. The switches can handle Rail-to-Rail® analog signals. Off-leakage current is only 0.5nA at +25°C and 5nA at +85°C. The digital input has +0.8V to +2.4V logic thresholds, ensuring TTL/CMOS-logic compatibility when using a single +5V supply. The MAX4561 is a single-pole/double-throw (SPDT) switch. The MAX4568 NO and MAX4569 NC are single-pole/single-throw (SPST) switches. The MAX4561 is available in a 6-pin SOT23 package, and the MAX4568/MAX4569 are available in 5-pin SOT23 packages.

The MAX4591/MAX4592/MAX4593 are high-speed, precision, quad, single-pole/single-throw (SPST) analog switches designed to operate at +12V or +15V. The MAX4591 has four normally closed (NC) switches, and the MAX4592 has four normally open (NO) switches. The MAX4593 has two NO and two NC switches. All three devices offer low leakage (100pA max) and fast switching speeds (tON ≤ 80ns, tOFF ≤ 45ns). With a +12V supply, the MAX4591/MAX4592/MAX4593 offer guaranteed 1Ω max channel-to-channel matching, 20Ω max on-resistance (RON), and 1.75Ω max RON flatness over the specified range. These switches are also fully specified for single +15V operation, with 16Ω max RON, 1.5Ω max RON match, and 1.5Ω max flatness. For low-voltage or dual-supply operation, refer to the MAX391 data sheet. These low-voltage switches also offer 5pC max charge injection, and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection is greater than 2000V, per Method 3015.7. Applications include Test Equipment, Sample-and-Hold Circuits, Disk Drives, Guidance and Control Systems, Tape Drives, Military Radios, Audio and Video Communications Systems, Switching PBX, PABX, Heads-Up Displays.

The MAX4621/MAX4622/MAX4623 are precision, dual, high-speed analog switches. The single-pole/single-throw (SPST) MAX4621 and double-pole/single-throw (DPST) MAX4623 dual switches are normally open (NO). The single-pole/double-throw (SPDT) MAX4622 has two normally closed (NC) and two NO poles. All three parts offer low 5Ω on-resistance guaranteed to match to within 0.5Ω between channels and to remain flat over the full analog signal range (∆0.5Ω max). They also offer low leakage (<500pA at +25°C, <5nA at +85°C) and fast switching times (turn-on time <250ns, turn-off time <200ns). These analog switches are ideal in low-distortion appli- cations and are the preferred solution over mechanical relays in automatic test equipment or applications where current switching is required. They have low power requirements, use less board space, and are more reliable than mechanical relays. The MAX4621/MAX4622/MAX4623 are pin-compatible replacements for the DG401/DG403/DG405, respective- ly, offering improved overall performance. These mono- lithic switches operate from a single positive supply (+4.5V to +36V) or with bipolar supplies (±4.5V to ±18V) while retaining CMOS-logic input compatibility.
