The MAX4908/MAX4909/MAX4930/MAX4932 are dual 3:1 clickless audio multiplexers with negative-signal handling capability. These analog multiplexers have a low on-resistance, low supply current, and operate from a single supply voltage. They can pass signals as low as VCC - 5.5V without distortion.

The MAX4740/MAX4740H are analog switches with low on-resistance (0.61Ω typ) that operate from a single 1.6V to 5.5V supply. These switches are quad, single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switches and are designed for routing audio signals. The MAX4740/MAX4740H are pin-to-pin compatible with the ST Microelectronics quad SPDT STG3699 analog switch. The MAX4740 is a quad SPDT switch and the MAX4740H is a quad SPDT switch that can be placed in a high-impedance mode. The switching logic is controlled by 2 control bits (CB1 and CB2). The MAX4740/MAX4740H also feature a low on-resistance match (0.06Ω) and low power-supply current (0.3µA), which helps to increase battery life. These switches are available in a tiny 3mm x 3mm, 16-pin TQFN-EP, and 2.5mm x 2.5mm, 16-pin ultra-thin QFN packages.

The MAX4744/MAX4744H/MAX4745/MAX4745H/MAX4746H dual SPDT (single-pole/double-throw) audio switches feature negative signal capability that allows signals as low as VCC - 5.5V to pass through without distortion.

The MAX4670 is an integrated T1/E1/J1 analog protection switch for 1+1 and N+1 line-card redundancy applications. It protects two T1/E1/J1 ports by combining eight SPDT switches in a single package. The switch is optimized for high-return loss and pulse-template performance in T1/E1/J1 long-haul and short-haul applications. The part offers built-in chip-side surge protection capability for short-haul intrabuilding applications. The MAX4670 replaces two diode arrays or two transient voltage suppressors (TVSs) and four dual-SPDT relays, significantly reducing board space and simplifying PC board routing. The MAX4670 pinout is targeted for T1/E1/J1 applications, resulting in a simplified layout when interfacing with standard line transformers and line interface units (LIUs). The MAX4670 has four 1.0Ω (max) on-resistance switches with 60pF/40pF on-/off-capacitances for interfacing to the LIU transmitter outputs. The MAX4670 also includes four 10Ω (max) on-resistance switches with low 24pF/12pF on-/off-capacitances for interfacing to the LIU receiver inputs. Four logic inputs control the receive/transmit pairs, in addition to a SWITCH input that connects all switches to the system’s protection bus. The MAX4670 operates from a single +2.7V to +3.6V supply and is available in 32-pin thermally enhanced TQFN package. The MAX4670 is specified over the -40°C to +85°C operating temperature range.

The MAX4754/MAX4754A/MAX4755/MAX4756/MAX4756A series low on-resistance, analog switches operate from a single +1.8V to +5.5V supply. They are configured to route either audio or data signals.

The MAX4906EF is an electrostatic discharge (ESD)-protected analog switch that combines low on-capacitance (CON) and low on-resistance (RON) necessary for high-performance switching applications.

MAX4906/MAX4906F/MAX4907/MAX4907F is a high-speed switch chip developed by MAXIM company for USB 2.0 applications. It has low on-resistance and low on-capacitance, and can be applied to low-voltage logic and high-frequency switching circuits.

The MAX4888/MAX4889 are high-speed passive switches that route PCI Express® (PCIe) data between two possible destinations. The MAX4888 is a quad single-pole/double-throw (4 x SPDT) switch ideally suited for switching two half lanes of PCIe data between two destinations. The MAX4889 is an octal single-pole/double-throw (8 x SPDT) switch ideal for switching four half lanes of PCIe data between four destinations. MAX4888A/MAX4889A are 5.0Gbps PCI Express passive switches from Maxim Integrated. Both switches are controlled by a single digital control input (SEL). MAX4888A is a quad single-pole/double-throw (4 x SPDT) switch ideally suited for switching two half lanes of PCIe data between two destinations. MAX4889A is an octal single-pole/double-throw (8 x SPDT) switch ideal for switching four half lanes of PCIe data between four destinations. The MAX4927 meets the needs of high-speed differential switching, including that of Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) Base-T switching as well as LVDS and LVPECL switching. The MAX4927 provides enhanced ESD protection up to ±15kV and excellent high-frequency response, making the device especially useful for interfaces that must go to an outside connection. The MAX4927 offers extremely low capacitance (CON), as well as low on-resistance (RON), for low-insertion loss and very wide bandwidth. In addition to the four pairs of DPDT switches, the MAX4927 provides LED switching for laptop computer/docking station use. The MAX4927 is pin-to-pin equivalent to the PI3L500-A and STMUX1000L. The MAX4927 can replace either device in those applications, improving ESD protection and eliminating external ESD components. The MAX4927 is available in a space-saving 56-pin TQFN package and operates over the extended -40°C to +85°C temperature range.

The MAX4814E DVI/HDMI 2:4 Low-Frequency Fanout Switch is a bidirectional 2:4 HDMI switch that provides routing for low-frequency signals. It consists of five single-pole/single-throw (SPST) channels, two of which have a low 3Ω (typ) on-resistance to route +5V and drain (ground return), and three to route data. The device features a mode input to control the device through an I2C interface or direct-control logic inputs. The MAX4814E is available in a 64-pin (10mm x 10mm) TQFP package and operates over the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range.

The MAX4928A/MAX4928B are high-speed passive switches that route PCI Express (PCIe) data and/or DisplayPort signals between two possible destinations in desktop or laptop PCs. The MAX4928A is intended for use with ATX form factor desktop PCs, while the MAX4928B is expected to be used in the BTX form factor. The MAX4928A/MAX4928B are hex double-pole/double-throw (6 x DPDT) switches. They feature a single digital control input (SEL) to switch signal paths and a latch input (LE) that holds the switches in a given state. The MAX4928A/MAX4928B are fully specified to operate from a single +3.3V (typ) power supply. They are available in an industry standard 5mm x 11mm, 56-pin TQFN package. Both devices operate over the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range.

The MAX4983E/MAX4984E are high ESD-protected analog switches that combine the low on-capacitance and low on-resistance necessary for high-performance switching applications. COM1 and COM2 are protected against ±15kV ESD without latchup or damage. The devices are ideal for USB 2.0 Hi-Speed applications at 480Mbps. The switches also handle all the requirements for USB low- and full-speed signaling. The MAX4983E/MAX4984E double-pole/double-throw (DPDT) switches are fully specified to operate from a single +2.8V to +5.5V power supply and are protected against a +5.5V short to COM1 and COM2. This feature makes the MAX4983E/MAX4984E fully compliant with the USB 2.0 specification of VBUS fault protection. The devices feature low-threshold-voltage logic inputs, permitting them to be used with low I/O voltage systems. The MAX4983E features an active-low enable input (EN) that when driven high sets the device in shutdown mode. The MAX4984E features an active-high enable input (EN) that when driven low sets the device in shutdown mode. When the device is in shutdown mode, the quiescent supply current is reduced to 0.1µA. The MAX4983E/MAX4984E are available in a space-saving, 10-pin, 1.4mm x 1.8mm UTQFN package, and operate over a -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
