The MAX1003 is a high-performance, low-power dual 6-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that can convert I and Q analog signals at sampling rates up to 90Msps in input ranges of 125mVp-p, 250mVp-p, or 500mVp-p. The device is ideal for use in direct-broadcast satellite, VSAT, and QAM16 demodulation applications.

The MAX1011 is a 6-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that combines high-speed, low-power operation with a user-selectable input range, an internal reference, and a clock oscillator. The ADC converts analog signals into binary-coded digital outputs at sampling rates up to 90Msps. The ability to directly interface with baseband signals makes the MAX1011 ideal for use in a wide range of communications and instrumentation applications. The MAX1011’s input amplifier features a true differential input, a -0.5dB analog bandwidth of 55MHz, and a user-programmable input full-scale range of 125mVp-p, 250mVp-p, or 500mVp-p. With an AC-coupled signal, input offset is typically less than 1/4LSB. Dynamic performance is 5.85 effective number of bits (ENOB) with a 20MHz analog input signal, or 5.7 ENOB with a 50MHz signal. The MAX1011 operates with +5V analog and +3.3V digital supplies for easy interfacing to +3.3V-logic-compatible digital signal processors and microprocessors. It comes in a 24-pin QSOP package.

The MAX5889 is a 12-bit, 600Msps digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that meets the demanding performance requirements of signal synthesis applications found in wireless base stations and other communications applications. The MAX5893 is a programmable interpolating, modulating, 500Msps, dual digital-to-analog converter (DAC) optimized for high-performance wideband, single-carrier transmit applications. It integrates a selectable 2x/4x/8x interpolating filter, a digital quadrature modulator, and dual 12-bit high-speed DACs on a single integrated circuit. At 30MHz output frequency and 500Msps update rate, the in-band SFDR is 84dBc while consuming 1.1W. The device also delivers 72dB ACLR for single-carrier WCDMA at a 61.44MHz output frequency. The selectable interpolating filters allow lower input data rates while taking advantage of the high DAC update rates. These linear-phase interpolation filters ease reconstruction filter requirements and enhance the passband dynamic performance. Individual offset and gain programmability allow the user to calibrate out local oscillator (LO) feedthrough and sideband suppression errors generated by analog quadrature modulators. The MAX5893 features a fIM/4 digital image-reject modulator. This modulator generates a quadrature-modulated IF signal that can be presented to an analog I/Q modulator to complete the upconversion process. A second digital modulation mode allows the signal to be frequency-translated with image pairs at fIM/2 or fIM/4. The MAX5893 features a standard 1.8V CMOS, 3.3V tolerant data input bus for easy interface. A 3.3V SPI™ port is provided for mode configuration.
