The AME8801/8812/8840 family is a series of positive, linear regulators with low quiescent current and low dropout voltage, making them ideal for battery applications. They feature low dropout voltage, guaranteed 300mA output, accuracy within 1.5%, low quiescent current of only 30µA, over-temperature shutdown, current limiting, short circuit current fold-back, noise reduction bypass capacitor, power-saving shutdown mode, etc.
