High-pressure discharge lamps (also known as high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps) differ from incandescent lamps in the way in which they produce light. They are very efficient because they generate extremely high luminous flux in a very small space. For example, a 2000 W metal halide lamp, such as the ones installed in foot- ball stadium floodlights, produces as much light as two 5000 W incandescent lamps. Hyper Micro SIDELED® Hyper-Bright LED is a lead-free product that complies with RoHS standards. It has a white SMT housing and colorless clear resin, and is especially suitable for light guide coupling. The product has 4 wavelengths: 633nm (super-red), 615nm (amber), 606nm (orange) and 587nm (yellow), and a light beam angle of Lambertian Emitter (120°). The product's technology is InGaAlP, and its optical efficiency is 9 lm/W (yellow, orange, amber) and 5 lm/W (super-red). It can be used for all SMT assembly technologies.
