FilmStar CRYSTAL is a software for managing the complex task of transferring multilayer optical thin film designs to Inficon IC/4+, IC/5 and Sycon STC-200/SQ film deposition controllers via RS-232 or IEEE-488 interfaces. In RS-232 operation checksums ensure the accuracy of transferred values. CRYSTAL Version 2.20 uploads deposition processes (layer programs), which are written in FilmStar BASIC and can be used to control the deposition process. FilmStar CRYSTAL also provides functions for calculating layer programs, downloading and uploading layer programs, downloading and uploading design text files and downloading and uploading material libraries.
