This document describes the 74LVX02, a low voltage CMOS quad 2-input NOR gate. It is fabricated using sub-micron silicon gate and double-layer metal wiring C2MOS technology. The 74LVX02 is ideal for low power, battery operated, and low noise 3.3V applications. It offers high speed performance and true CMOS low power consumption. The internal circuit consists of three stages, including a buffer output that provides high noise immunity and stable output. The device features power down protection on all inputs, allowing it to accept input voltages from 0 to 7V regardless of the supply voltage. It can be used to interface 5V to 3V systems. The 74LVX02 also includes protection circuits against static discharge, providing 2KV ESD immunity and transient excess voltage protection.
