The VN5E160MS-E is a single-channel high-side driver designed for automotive applications. It features analog functions and offers various benefits such as active management of inrush current through power limitation, very low standby current, 3.0V CMOS compatible inputs, optimized electromagnetic emission, and high electromagnetic susceptibility. It complies with the European directive 2002/95/EC and has very low current sense leakage. The driver also includes diagnostic functions and protections such as undervoltage shutdown, overload and short to ground indication, thermal shutdown, and reverse battery protection. It is suitable for driving resistive, inductive, and capacitive loads, and can be easily interfaced with microcontrollers.
