This document introduces the features of the VN5160S-E single-channel high side driver, including main current management, very low standby current, 3.0V CMOS compatible input, optimized electromagnetic emission, very low electromagnetic susceptibility, compliance with the 2002/95/EC European Directive, diagnostic functions, open-state open load detection, off-state open load detection, thermal shutdown indication, protection functions, undervoltage shutdown, overvoltage clamping, output stuck to Vcc detection, load current limitation, fast thermal transient self-limiting, protection against ground loss and VCC loss, thermal shutdown, reverse battery protection (see Figure 28), electrostatic discharge protection. It is suitable for all types of resistive, inductive and capacitive loads.
