The L9733 is a highly flexible monolithic, medium current, output driver that incorporates 8 outputs that can be used as either internal low or high-side drives in any combination. It has a supply voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V, a maximum resistance value of 0.7Ω (25°C) and 1.2Ω (125°C), and a minimum current limit of 1A for each output. It also has a minimum output voltage clamping of 40V in low-side configuration and a maximum output voltage clamping of -14V in high-side configuration. The chip features an SPI interface for outputs control and diagnosis data communication, as well as additional PWM inputs for 3 outputs. Each channel has independent thermal shutdown and diagnostics for open load, short to GND, short to Vb, and overcurrent in latched or unlatched mode. It also has an internal charge pump without the need for an external capacitor and controlled SR for reduced EMC.
