ST TDA7565 handbook
Update: 28 September, 2023
The TDA7565 is a quad power amplifier with an integrated step-up converter. It utilizes multipower BCD technology and DMOS power output, providing a non-switching high efficiency amplifier and a switching high efficiency voltage converter. It has a high output power capability, with a maximum of 4 x 41 W @ Vs = 14.4 V and 4 x 59 W @ Vs = 14.4 V and PWM = 17.5 V. The amplifier supports full I2C bus driving, with various functions such as standby, independent front/rear soft play/mute, selectable gain, high efficiency enable/disable, voltage converter enable/disable, regulated voltage selection, and switching frequency selection. It also features a hardware mute function, full fault protection, DC offset detection, four independent short circuit protection, and a clipping detector with selectable threshold via I2C bus.
