This is a product description of STEVAL-PCC005V1 hard disk drive (HDD) bridge demonstration board. The board is based on STR912 (ARM966E-S) microcontroller with in-build external memory interface (EMI) and has USB interface available for USB hard disk application. It can act as mass-storage device using native Microsoft Windows® OS drivers and has an on-board power supply for hard disk. The board can be powered by either an on-board power supply or a separate SMPS power supply. It has LEDs available on the demonstration board to indicate read or write operation. The board also features a JTAG interface for debugging purpose.
