This is a data brief about the ST1S09 evaluation board. The evaluation board is a 2A / 1.2V high-efficiency synchronous buck converter designed for low-voltage applications, replacing high current linear solutions. It has an input voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V, maximum output current of 2A, high internal switching frequency of 1.5MHz, short-circuit protection, and comes in a DFN6 3x3 package. The evaluation board uses current mode PWM topology and low ESR surface-mount ceramic capacitors to ensure low output ripple. The ST1S09 also has thermal protection and current limiting to prevent damage from accidental short-circuits.
