ST STEVAL-ISA028V1 Single phase 20 A step-down converter evaluation board based on the L6727 handbook

This document is a data brief for STMicroelectronics' STEVAL-ISA028V1 single phase 20A step-down converter evaluation board. The evaluation board is based on the L6727 chip and features an optimized BOM for 12V input / 1.25V output @ 20A, providing high flexibility for a wide range of designs. It supports customizable output voltage, compatibility with L6726A/L6727 controllers, and has a controller input voltage (VCC) range from 5V to 12V, with a conversion input voltage (VIN) up to 13.2V. It is compatible with DPAK / SO-8 / PowerSO-8 / PowerFLAT MOSFET, and supports multiple footprints for input and output capacitors, as well as through-hole / SMD inductor compatibility. The PCB is a 4-layer design. The evaluation board demonstrates the key features of STMicroelectronics' L6727 chip, which is a powerful buck controller that simplifies and reduces cost for the design of complete step-down voltage regulators.
