This application note describes an induction cooking design based on the ST7FLITE09Y0, which can be used to evaluate ST's components or quickly start your own induction cooking development project. The design provides an opportunity to understand how an induction cooker works and to make an in-depth examination of the various modules and parts of this type of cooking application, such as the driving topology, how the resonant tank works, how the pot gets hot and how to safely remove it from the cooking element. The design is entirely controlled by a single ST7FLITE09Y0 microcontroller, which provides the PWM driving signals, communicates information to the user interface, and drives the fan and relay control to the plate feedback.
