Agilent 320-MS Area Retention Time Reproducibility Manual

Update: 28 September, 2023

This document demonstrates the reproducibility and reliability of the Varian 320-MS triple quadrupole mass spectrometer in analyzing complex samples. By using the 212-LC binary gradient LC/MS chromatography pumps, the instrument can achieve excellent reproducibility of both area and retention time over multiple injections. The method was tested on a heavy matrix containing multiple components and transitions, showing excellent reliability and reproducibility of the system. The document also describes the specific steps and experimental conditions for analyzing samples extracted from tomato, orange, spinach, sweet corn, and raisin matrices using the QUECHERS method. The experimental results show that the % RSD of Buprofezin (306 ➔ 201) retention time is 0.02 and 0.09 over 60 and 100 subsequent injections, respectively, demonstrating the reliability of the system.
