This document provides a technical overview of calibrating Agilent PLgel 3 µm 100Å columns using polystyrene standards for GPC analysis. Agilent PLgel 3 µm 100Å columns are designed for the analysis of low molecular weight discrete molecules in organic solvents. The molecular weight information of a sample is calculated by analyzing a series of narrow distribution polymers of known molecular weight and generating a standard calibration curve. This example demonstrates the typical calibration data using polystyrene narrow standards in tetrahydrofuran.
