The LinkMaster™ UTP/STP Tester is a test device used with UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) and STP (Shielded Twisted Pair) wiring. It checks the continuity and configuration of wiring with unshielded and shielded modular plugs, and tests for open circuits, shorts, miswires, reversals, and split pairs. The SHIELD detection feature tests a cable's shield integrity. The main unit and one remote allow for one person testing of T568A, T568B, 10Base-T, and Token Ring. The remote has a wiring chart identifying T568A and T568B wiring configurations. The DEBUG feature quickly identifies which cable pairs have a specific wiring fault. A low battery LED indicates when a battery replacement is necessary.
