TEXAS INSTRUMENTS ADS1602 16-Bit 2.5MSPS Analog-to-Digital Converter handbook

Update: 29 September, 2023

The ADS1602 is a high-speed, high-precision, delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter (ADC) manufactured on an advanced CMOS process. It features high speed data rate and outstanding performance with a bandwidth of 1.23MHz, SNR of 91dB, THD of -101dB, and SFDR of 103dB. It also offers ease of use with a high-speed 3-wire serial interface that directly connects to TMS320 DSPs, an on-chip digital filter that simplifies anti-alias requirements, and simple pin-driven control without on-chip registers to program. Additionally, it supports simultaneous sampling with multiple ADS1602s and has low power consumption with a maximum power of 530mW. The ADS1602 is suitable for applications such as sonar, vibration analysis, and data acquisition.
