Agilent Determination of aflatoxins with Agilent 1290 Infinity LC Agilent 1260 Infinity Binary LC Agilent ZORBAX RRHT 1.8 m columns by FLD after electrochemical derivatization with a Coring C

Update: 29 September, 2023

This article describes the determination of aflatoxins using Agilent 1290 Infinity LC, Agilent 1260 Infinity Binary LC, and Agilent ZORBAX RRHT 1.8 µm columns by fluorescence detection after electrochemical derivatization. The use of shorter columns instead of conventional 5 µm columns accelerates the HPLC and post-column derivatization method for the determination of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, and G2. Despite the use of the Coring Cell and related band broadening techniques, high resolution was achieved. The analysis time was approximately 10 minutes, including column flushing, and the sample throughput was increased by more than 2 times.
