Agilent SEC Analysis of Xanthan Application Note

This article introduces the application of Xanthan and its ability to act as a water thickener in oil recovery processes. The authors analyzed a sample of Xanthan using SEC and found that the PL aquagel-OH 60 15 µm columns successfully analyzed the low concentration sample, providing information on the molecular weight, polydispersity, and shape of the molecular weight distribution of the polymer.
