Agilent Determination of Volatile Amines using a CP-Volamine GC Column

This article describes the method of analyzing volatile amines using the Agilent J&W Select CP-Volamine GC Column. The column is coated with a base deactivated non-polar siloxane type stationary phase, which provides a highly inert coating surface with minimal absorption for difficult basic compounds. The column exhibits good peak shape and excellent stability, making it suitable for the analysis of highly volatile and basic substances.
