Agilent Separation of four Anti Slip Agents

This article introduces the widespread use of fatty acid monoamides as slip agents (lubricants) in the production of polymeric films and as anti-adhesives in the food industry. The advantage of using fatty acid monoamides is their biodegradability. Unsaturated amides show better performance than saturated analogues. Some of these amides are also endogenous bioactive substances and cause sleepiness. The authors separated saturated and unsaturated fatty acid monoamides using GC-Capillary Wide Bore technique.
